Director of Professional Development

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), a national trade association representing commercial construction contractors, seeks experienced professional for its Director of Professional Development position.

Principal Responsibilities: plans, directs, administers and coordinates professional development and continuing education programs, services and products for members and chapters; manages the Annual ASC-AGC Student Competition; serves as the primary staff support to the AGC Online Institute; and manages AGC Student Chapter programs. Position does NOT entail direct training of workers.

Job Requirements: Successful candidate will possess the ability to motivate, engage and work productively with volunteer groups to foster knowledge creation and sharing, and development of programs and products. Knowledge or experience with curriculum development is a plus. Ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have the motivation and ability to respond to multiple issues simultaneously. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Association experience a plus. Some travel required.
